April 2007 - minimalism - I used the square stock fill mode once again for creating this piece - this time I left all the space around the 45 degree twisted square white - this meant that everything was going to be below the white surface area - this helps to create a great amount of depth in this piece - I used brown & white in the limited color palette - I began to create the first square moving down to the bottom of the piece - you can see the separate gradation lines moving from white to a very dark brown that looks like coffee & or chocolate - I nexted created another 45 degree square but this time smoothed it so none of the gradation lines could be seen - it has a top ridge to it & then from this ridge it drops down in towards the center of the piece - I created another 45 degree twisted square inside the smoothed one - it has gradation lines that move up & towards the very center of the piece - its top is pure white - I then placed a placed a thin square contour line of a lighter shade of the brown around the outer edge of the piece - then I chose a script font filled with the same shade of brown for the title that is above the piece & my name plus the year the piece was created under this contour line - then I added another brown contour line around the piece that formed a white border around the piece - it is a very clean & pristine piece free of any clutter - I am happy with this much cleaner image than any of the other pieces I have created with this stock fill that I am in complet control - I mixed all the colors in it also
