Comforting warmth
Of Galways salty mirrored sun
A lullaby to the weary
Screeching seagulls, loosing the battle
With the herring gull taking his splash
Flapping wings. Increase his size
Second thoughts of the gulls that swerve away
Retreat, surrender, theyre gone
The sulphur air
The grey sand
The healing waters
Splashing at the rocks
Scenery and peacefulness
More than please the tourist
A cosy nook to fish
Anglers dream
The coast of Clare
10 miles across can be seen
No matter the weather
This is my little piece of heaven
Here on earth
You allow your other love
To take over
I`m always alone
A few beers, you sleep
Calm before the awaking storm
Peace in my mind
Dread in my heart
Why cant that nasty man just die?
In his sleep
Releasing the soul of the love ive lost
Youre an alcoholic
Its in your genes
Your kin lost everything too
So too will you
Even your life
I can not help you
You dont want to admit
I`m an alcoholic
Its your first step to help
